"Treasure Time" Original Oil Painting

$2,300.00

"Treasure Time” is a tribute to the wonder and magic of childhood. It captures the imagination of a little boy playing with his bunny in a playground boat. The piece serves as a reminder of the importance of embracing our imaginations, like we once did as children. It’s also a reminder to slow down, appreciate the present and find joy in the simple things.

Were you warned of the dangers of wishing your life away? Before you know, it will be all over. You will find yourself not asking for time to speed up, but for it to slow down. The time we are given here on Earth is more valuable than anything you will ever have. Both over and yet to come, time is like water, sometimes a lazy flow and other times a raging torrent. Contemporary society involves skimming and scanning, life must be lived forward but can only be understood backwards. Being curious with unexpected imaginings and emotional wonder helps us to better understand ourselves and the environment around us. From birth we begin our lifelong collection of experience and  memory where our perception of time changes as we get older. This painting is a reminder to look for the wonder, that wonder we had as children but don't tend to utilise as adults, due to various reasons, including social conditioning.

Please note: while this is the original oil painting, open edition fine art print reproductions of this painting are also available on my website for collectors.
